SyncNation Magazine respects the intellectual property rights of photographers, artists, creators, agencies, record labels, publicists, businesses, and other rights holders.
This Image & Media Submission Authorization applies to photographs, artwork, graphics, album or single artwork, press images, promotional images, video, electronic press kit materials, logos, and other visual or multimedia content voluntarily submitted to SyncNation Magazine for editorial or promotional consideration.
Authorization to Submit
By submitting images or other media to SyncNation Magazine, you confirm that you are authorized to provide the submitted material for the purposes described below.
You represent that at least one of the following applies:
- You created and own the submitted material;
- The copyright owner has authorized you to provide the material to media outlets for publication;
- You are an artist, photographer, publicist, manager, record label, agency, business, authorized representative, or other party with sufficient rights to provide the material;
- The material is part of an authorized press or media kit that permits its use for relevant editorial or promotional coverage; or
- You otherwise possess sufficient permission or licensing rights to authorize SyncNation Magazine’s intended use.
Permission Granted to SyncNation Magazine
By voluntarily submitting authorized media to SyncNation Magazine, you grant SyncNation Magazine a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to use accepted submitted material in connection with:
- Editorial articles and features;
- Artist interviews and profiles;
- Music, entertainment, culture, creator, and business coverage;
- Reviews and announcements;
- SyncNation Magazine’s website;
- Social-media posts promoting the related SyncNation Magazine coverage;
- Email newsletters promoting the related coverage; and
- Reasonable resizing, cropping, formatting, or adaptation necessary to present the material through those channels.
This authorization does not transfer ownership of the submitted material to SyncNation Magazine.
Your Responsibility for Submitted Material
You are responsible for ensuring that you have sufficient rights or authorization to provide all submitted material to SyncNation Magazine.
Do not submit an image simply because you found it through:
- Google or another search engine;
- Another magazine or news website;
- A blog;
- Pinterest;
- A social-media account;
- A photographer’s website;
- An image-sharing website; or
- Any other third-party source.
Public availability of an image does not necessarily mean that the image is free to reproduce or that you have authority to authorize its use by SyncNation Magazine.
News Agency and Editorial Photography
Do not submit photographs owned, represented, or distributed by third-party news, photography, or licensing agencies unless you have specific authority to provide those photographs to SyncNation Magazine for the intended use.
This includes, but is not limited to, material distributed by professional news agencies, photo agencies, wire services, stock-photo providers, or other commercial licensing organizations.
Providing a photographer, publication, or agency credit does not by itself establish permission to reproduce an image.
Photographer and Rights-Holder Credits
When applicable, submitters should provide the correct:
Photographer/Creator Name:
Name of the person who created the image.
Image Source:
Artist / Photographer / Publicist or PR Agency / Record Label / Management / Brand / Authorized Press Kit / Licensed Provider / Other
Required Photo Credit:
The exact credit that should accompany the image, if any.
Rights/Permission Information:
Any relevant information concerning authorization, licensing, press-kit permissions, or restrictions associated with the submitted material.
SyncNation Magazine may publish supplied credits but does not guarantee placement or formatting in every promotional use where technical or platform limitations apply.
Representations
By submitting media to SyncNation Magazine, you represent that:
- The information you provide regarding the source and ownership of the material is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
- You own the material or possess sufficient permission or authority to provide it;
- You have authority to grant SyncNation Magazine the permission described on this page;
- SyncNation Magazine’s authorized use of the submitted material will not knowingly violate another party’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property rights;
- You have provided any required photographer, creator, agency, or rights-holder credits known to you; and
- You will notify SyncNation Magazine promptly if you later discover a rights or authorization issue involving submitted material.
Verification
SyncNation Magazine reserves the right to request additional information regarding the source, ownership, license, or authorization of submitted material.
SyncNation Magazine may decline, replace, remove, or discontinue use of material when sufficient authorization cannot reasonably be established or when a legitimate rights concern is raised.
Acceptance of submitted material does not constitute SyncNation Magazine’s independent verification of ownership.
Copyright Concerns
Copyright owners and their authorized representatives who believe material appearing on SyncNationMag.com has been used without appropriate authorization are encouraged to contact SyncNation Magazine promptly.
Please provide sufficient information to identify:
- The copyrighted work;
- The material appearing on SyncNation Magazine;
- The URL where the material appears;
- The copyright owner;
- The person or organization making the request;
- The requesting party’s authority to act for the copyright owner, if applicable; and
- Contact information for further communication.
SyncNation Magazine will review legitimate copyright concerns and may remove or disable access to disputed material while the matter is reviewed.
Removal or replacement of material as part of this process does not, by itself, constitute an admission of copyright infringement or liability.
Agreement
By submitting photographs, artwork, graphics, video, or other media to SyncNation Magazine, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Image & Media Submission Authorization.
If you do not have sufficient authority to provide an image or other media for publication, do not submit it to SyncNation Magazine.
